Henrik Enderlein

Director of the Jacques Delors Institut - Berlin, Economic and Monetary Union

Henrik Enderlein is Director of Jacques Delors Institut – Berlin and professor of political economy and Associate Dean of Faculty at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. He carried out his studies at Sciences Po in Paris, and at Columbia University in New York. He obtained his Ph.D in Political Science at the Max-Planck Institute on sociology in Cologne. From 2001 to 2003, he worked as an economist at the Central European Bank in Franfurt before accepting a position as assistant professor in economy at Freie Universität in Berlin. In 2005, Henrik Enderlein joined the Hertie School of Governance as a founding member of the Faculty. In 2014, he became the Founding Director of Jacques Delors Institut – Berlin. Henrik Enderlein recieved the Otto-Hahn Metal of the Max-Planck Society recognizing the remarkable achievements of young researchers. He was a guest professor at the Harvard Kennedy School (Chaire Pierre Keller, 2012-2013) and at Duke University (Chaire Fulbright, 2006-2007). Henrik Enderlein is a member of the German independent budgetary council.
