The Jacques Delors Institute works to analyse and to deepen the European Union’s democratic dimension, on the basis of three main themes: representative democracy (European and national parliaments, political parties), participatory democracy (European and national elections, referendums, citizen deliberations, etc.) and European public sphere (in particular, the tracking of European public opinion).
