Jacques Delors in Les échos: France must vote again on the Constitutional Treaty
In an interview in the French daily Les Echos, Jacques Delors, founding president of Notre Europe, points to the responsibility of politicians in the current scepticism towards the European project. He does not see the "spark" of a compromise solution to allow a way out of the crisis triggered by the French "no" at the referendum, but pleads the case for an institutional treaty backed up by a social protocol. He additionally appeals for new instances of enhanced cooperation.
