The Jacques Delors Institute in the media in 2015
Whether through our presidents, our directors or our teams, the Jacques Delors Institute and the Jacques Delors Institut – Berlin regularly intervene in the European and international media to participate in key debates on current issues and also put forward the expertise provided by our research work.
The appearances of Jacques Delors, our founding president, António Vitorino, our president, and Pascal Lamy, our president emeritus are counted when they are directly or indirectly associated with the Institute’s activity. In 2015, we appeared 725 times in all media types, in 34 countries, including 20 of the 28 EU countries as well as 14 outside countries. These media appearances dealt mainly with the Greek crisis, the migration crisis and the Schengen area, the Transatlantic trade and investment partnership (TTIP), etc.
Our head office, the Jacques Delors Institute, has made 595 media appearances in 2015. The media appearances of our Institute are diverse in terms of media types:

From a geographic point of view, these media appearances can be divided into three categories:

˗ 149 times in 19 other European states: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain and the United Kingdom;
˗ 200 times in international media and in 14 other countries: Algeria, Canada, China, Israel, Maldives, Morocco, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey, Vietnam and the USA.
