Paris, 14 February 2014 - For a Political community of the euro!
Where does France want to go, in Europe and the world? What is the future, in ten or twenty years, of the euro and the European Union? These legitimate questions have often been left without any answer.
Most of the governments and political parties have until now had a managerial approach. Radical parties advocate national retrenchment and the exit of the euro as if they were a miracle cure. Another answer, adapted to the world in 2014 and drawing the lessons from the crisis and collective mistakes, has to be developed in order to launch a new dynamic.
It's the aim of the call of the Eiffel-Europe group in favour of a "Political community of the euro" who organises a conference in Paris on Friday 14 February from 15h to 16h30 at the University of Paris I (12 place du Panthéon, salle 1, escalier d'honneur, 1st floor).
This conference-debate occurs in the presence of the MEP Daniel Cohn-Bendit as well as most of the members of the Eiffel-Europe group: Agnès Bénassy-Quéré, Yves Bertoncini, Jean-Louis Bianco, Laurence Boone, Bertrand Dumont, Sylvie Goulard, Rostane Mehdi, Etienne Pflimlin, Carole Ulmer and Shahin Vallee.
